Summer Interns Working for you!
Each year we have 2 or 3 summer interns working for our congregations from June through the first week of August. How many we are able to hire, depends entirely upon the giving by local congregations to our Jim Hamblen Local Missions and Ministries Offering.
Last year, our summer interns assisted several congregations with mission outreach, helping with Vacation Bible School, backyard Bible Clubs, block parties, and mission projects. Churches such as Ardmore Baptist, Bethany Baptist, Brim’s Grove Baptist, Calvary Baptist, Calvary West, Clemons First Baptist, College Park Baptist, Forsyth Park Baptist, Glenn View Baptist, Hillsdale Baptist, Knollwood Baptist, Lewisville Baptist, Old Town Baptist, Northridge Baptist, Red Bank Baptist, Stanleyville First Baptist, Union Hill Baptist, Walnut Cove First Baptist, and Waughtown Baptist. (I am sure I have left out several churches, but have attempted to name as many as I could recall.)
If you want a summer intern to help in any of these areas for a couples of days or a week, please contact Karen Taylor as soon as possible Also, if you know of a college student in one of our churches looking for summer intern, please have them submit their resume to the Pilot Mountain, Baptist Association, Attention: Karen Taylor, at PO Box 11843, Winston-Salem, NC 27116 or email the resume to me at email@example.com. I will receive resumes through March 2016.
Our interns are not available to help any congregation for more than one week, so make your requests early. We only have two months for our interns to assist our congregations.
Please remember to support the Jim Hamblen Local Missions and Ministries Offering. A portion of the proceeds will help go to pay the salaries of our interns. I hope we can have 3 summer interns again this year.
