The Pilot Mountain Baptist Association Ministry Assistants (PMBAMA) is an organization devoted to you! It is open to ministry assistants and other office staff of Baptist churches, agencies and institutions in our association.
Membership is free!
Have you ever wished you just had someone to talk to or to help you figure out how to handle specific tasks required in your daily job? Do you ever wish there was someone who would pray for you who can understand a difficult situation you find yourself in at work? We are here to help!
Our purpose is to encourage growth and professional excellence in ministry as well as to provide support and fellowship. We strive to help each other better understand our duties and responsibilities and to offer continuing education opportunities. It is also our desire to encourage, assist, support one another, and deepen the spiritual enrichment of our members.
Once per year we hold a worksop to keep us up to speed on computer programs we need at work. We have also had guests who have taught us about fashion in the workplace, how to stay spiritually strong in a spiritually draining ministry, safety in the workplace, conflict management, dealing with people in crisis, and many other issues we face as ministry assistants.
PMBAMA meets 4 times per year, once each quarterat different churches who volunteer to host or at the PMBA office. We provide lunch for a minimal cost.
Meetings are planned and announced through the PMBA website and e-mails just prior to the meetings. So, be watching for PMBA announcements and newsletters to learn more bout our quarterly meetings.
