Buckets of Hope from PMBA

Nine Baptist men, women and one precious girl
gathered at the PMBA Resource Center Saturday, February 27, at 10 AM to load buckets of food on 2 trailers. 264 Buckets
were filled by PMBA congregations and individuals as we participated in the Buckets of Hope for Haiti.

You should have seen the downstairs of the PMBA Resource Center! Buckets filled the room

I want to personally thank Jim Camp (Ardmore), Harold Cox (Crestwood), Johnathan Edwards and daughter Lisa (Brim's Grove), Sandra Elliott (my sister who recently moved to Rural Hall from Tennessee), Gerald Jones (pastor of Brim's Grove), Jim Oakley (Walnut Cove FBC), Rick Warden (associate pastor, Main Street), and Mike Weider (Old Town) for helping to get the buckets to the Piedmont Baptist Association. They should arrive in Haiti by March 15th.
Just as we finished loading all the buckets, we got a call from a concerned Christian regarding the earthquake that hit Chili and the possiblity of a tsunami hitting Hawaii. We were told that an alarm had gone out for Hawaii and an advisory for as far as California, the borders of Alaska and the borders of Mexico. We were asked to please pray for all the poeple in these areas...especially the lost!

Let us respond to the needs of Haiti!

 Blessings, in Christ,

 Karen Taylor, Community Missionary
